Traveler Social – Cuban Music in the Park

When traveling, do you enjoy stumbling upon local music in a park? If yes, then join us this month when we take our Traveler Social to a park for a free Cuban Music concert! Come feel the beat, chat with other travelers, and get inspired for future trips.

Where – Glenwood Park in SE Portland. In order to both enjoy the music and talk travel, we will sit back from the other attendees. So, look for us on the fringe – there will be Wild Spirit Travel / Meetup signs as well as a suitcase to identify our group.

When – Concert starts at 6:30pm. Arrive early (6:00pm) to meet others before the music gets going.

What to Bring – You will want a chair or blanket to sit on. You may also want to bring a picnic dinner and drink. I’m planning to stop on the way and pick up some Cuban food for my dinner.

How do we keep this group going? By donations from its members! There will be a donation jar at the event. Those that attend are asked to drop in a few dollars ($5 is appreciated, but whatever you can afford).

Full disclosure – I have never been to this park so not sure how large it is or what is there. I hope all intrepid travelers enjoy doing something new and do find our group. Even though we are just sitting outside it is helpful to have an accurate headcount. If you sign up, please plan to attend. If your plans change, simply email me.
