Traveler Social with Special Guests from Travelin old Scool!

Love to travel? Want to meet others that share your passion? Then join us for an afternoon of travel chatting, perfect for any traveler or travel dreamer! This free event is a great way to meet people who have been around the world, get tips and tricks for future trips, and to share your travel stories too.

In addition to the amazing travel conversations that always go on at these events, this month, we will also get an update from Andi & Kevin of Travelin Old Scool. These intrepid travelers have been journeying in a schoolie (converted school bus) from Alaska to Argentina. They drove off a couple years ago (we had a sendoff event for them in March of 2022) but are back for a short visit. At this social, they will tell tales of their travels so far, answer questions about traveling in a schoolie, and share where they are off to next.

There are costs to running a meetup group and holding events. As such, we ask all attendees to make a donation at the event (suggested amount is $5) unless you have a Global Travel Pass – then as always this event is FREE! If you do sign up, please plan to attend. If your plans change, simply send us an email. No showing is hard on organizers, venues, and other travelers. Honor the RSVP system – if you sign up show up.

We are meeting in the Mississippi area of Portland, at StormBreaker Brewing. We have space reserved on their patio. Ask for the travel group when you arrive. Please support the venue by purchasing food and/or drink.

Traveler Social Facilitators: Shyla & Dan Bare are International Travel Coaches with Wild Spirit Travel. They started organizing traveler socials after a seven-year trip around the world. The goal was to connect with other like-minded travelers. It worked – this group is filled with amazing travelers and people dreaming of international trips! In addition to socials, Shyla & Dan have shared their travel experience through classes at PCC, Clark College, and other venues. They are also the bestselling authors of the Before You Go Abroad Handbook.
